Nicole Moore

PSYCHOLOGIST/ CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY REGISTRAR

Nicole is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar. She works with both young people and adults experiencing a broad array of mental health and wellbeing concerns. Nicole also enjoys working with clients belonging to marginalised groups, including people of colour and the queer community. She has a background working in youth mental health, as well as in a hospital inpatient setting with more severe and complex mental health challenges.

Nicole draws flexibly from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-focused therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), as well as elements of Schema Therapy and Attachment Theory.

Nicole believes that developing a warm, safe, authentic relationship with clients is foundational to successful therapeutic work. She also acknowledges the broader context and systems in which mental health challenges occur, and takes a collaborative, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming approach.
